We’re developing floating data centre platforms for cloud providers, starting with cooling and space.

The approach

Starting with cooling.
Making room at sea.

Data centre expansion is constrained by power, cooling and space. Our initial focus is on cooling and space through floating platforms for cloud providers.

The ocean offers a vast natural heat sink and an alternative to scarce land sites. We’re exploring how that could shorten the path from design to deployment.

Platform design & simulation

After researching cooling and serviceability, we chose a floating rack design. We’re now building simulations and designing the platform to test how the concept performs.

We’re Arjun, Rohan and Atharv. We met at IIT Madras four years ago. Together, we’re OceanKore.

Arjun

Quantitative finance & biotechnology

Studies quantitative finance and biotechnology. Interned at McKinsey in the advanced industries and OEMs practice.

Rohan

Marine systems & aerospace

Graduated in marine systems and aerospace. Has spent the past year working on flight hardware at Arctus Aerospace.

Atharv

Computational engineering & biotechnology

Studies computational engineering and biotechnology. Built an AI agent for aircraft maintenance planning at FlyNapse AI.
